Universal Values for Women, X-generation of elderly, Youngsters (UVWXYZ) Center

For the Community, By the community and To the community.

The programs will utilize the services of all the elderly and women for voluntary time for classes.

Each center to be provided with :

>> Seed capital to be self supportive including infrastructure cost.

>> Equipment (fitness, sport, art, etc)

>> Fund would be provided for paying any salaries for a very small number of staff.

>> Fund for annual awards in art, sport, academics, community service competitions for each age group and gender, and

>> Teachers to be voluteers.

Revenues : Will be generated by :

>> Small fees from each member

>> Sponsorships

>> Donations and

>> Products made by the community to be donated in kind.

The students that benefit from the center will help give back to the community by :

>> Volunteering time for the center in running classes and getting new members,

>> Cleanliness at the local temple,

>> Organising temple and community activities, and

>> Helping in planting trees, cleaning lakes and other environmental issues.

Steps to make it a succesful center :

>> Getting the sports and art programs started,

>> Helping the kids with their school work and experiencing success at school,

>> Appreciation of one's culture by short yoga and meditation and "Why" classes

>> Making the elderly and women important to the community and asking them to work with their hearts - developing rapport.

>> Popularizing the center,

>> Showing pride with all kids irrespective of caste, social background etc - giving awards at ceremonies for voluteering,

>> Making the center develop operational sustainability first and then investment,

>> Building sustainable leadership by every generation giving to the next.
