SECONDARY Secondary - Fun-Competion is a phase when the student due to their habits and approach to preparation is keen to participate in competition for self-development. The student is given the next set of thresholds in all aspects of development from in class challenges to longer assessments, local, national and international competitions in all spheres of development, independent research project, and to enjoy providing leadership for others by example.
This stage includes Grades VIII to X Expansion of knowledge : This stage encourages and provides resources, mentors and professionals for the maximum assimilation of knowledge. As can be seen that the primary stage of development is crucial for a self-motivated thirst for knowledge. Resource people and leading professionals from premier institutions are brought in to interact with the students.
Independent thinking and problem solving : The students have latitude to independently think through concepts and undertake project work. They are encouraged to set goals or targets and to pursue these in stipulated periods of time. They will be provided and tested to independently solve problems.
Resourcefulness : The students are asked to network with a variety of people towards their projects and events. They are provided tasks to help them understand this important concept of seeking assistance from others.
Leadership and team work : At this stage the students would be leaders or at least have a firm idea about the skills needed for leadership. KENSRI's curriculum is expected to put these students in position of leadership and thus have prepared them for leadership. The best way to become a leader is to be a good team member and this is honed through mentoring, project work and other areas of curriculum.
Options : At this stage the parents and students have a tremendous task of choosing from a variety of options be it academic, sports, art or talent pursuits. |
